Illustrator

Hi there, I’m Stephan, an illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany. I grew up in a small village near the border to Luxembourg, surrounded by forest, meadows and farmland. In 2011 I graduated from art school (htk) in Hamburg. After 3 years working in advertising as an Art Director, I quit my job to draw a comic book and decided to take the opportunity to become a full-time freelance illustrator.

I’m a German native speaker, but fluent in English. Clients in either Language are welcome. (Working on adding Japanese to this List.)

My Family Name

“Lorse” is an old German name of a monastery – first mentioned in the “Ring of the Nibelungen“ (13th century) – today known as the City of Lorsch in the state of Hessen in Germany.

After years of daydreaming, 2019 was the year I finally ordered a first batch of stickers with my own illustrations on them. Since then I love experimenting and creating new products which I now have an Etsy-Shop for. You can find Stickers, Prints, Pins, Comics and Zines there.

You can find my work also on print on demand sites like Redbubble, with an even higher range of products like phone cases, Shirts or Notebooks. 

YouTube

I created a YouTube Channel to give an insight into my illustration process and work in general. But I also enjoy making videos, having fun editing and experimenting with animation.
